Joe Craig's visit

 "Achieving our best together"

On Monday the 24th of September 2007 an author called Joe Craig came to our school to talk to us about his books. He has three books out such as Jimmy Coates Killer, Jimmy Coates Target and Jimmy Coates Revenge. He read us a bit from Jimmy Coates Killer and we all thought it was really good. People bought books which got signed at the end by Joe Craig.

Author, Joe Craig, who came to visit the school in September 2007.

Joe Craig also talked to us about a frying pan of impending doom. He told us that it is a good way of planning stories. There are three circles inside the frying pan of impending doom. The outer circle represents impending doom. The middle circle represents personal problems and the inner circle represents the problems inside your head. These are all parts of a story. The frying pan was drawn on a piece of paper and we all came up with some ideas. He drew them on a piece of paper. At the end he put all the ideas together and it sounded really funny!

At the end he drew a picture of this boy. It looked really funny. He named it Bob Jeffery. He also did a really good trick.  All in all we all really enjoyed it and hoped he could come again.
